What does a UV light actually do?
A germicidal UV-C light installed near the evaporator coil or inside the ductwork continuously targets mould, bacteria and other microorganisms as air circulates past it, before they spread through the house.
Will it stop all mould and allergens?
No single product eliminates every allergen. A UV light is one part of a healthy duct system, most effective paired with clean ductwork and a filter that gets changed. We are upfront about that before you buy.
How long do the bulbs last?
Most germicidal UV-C bulbs last twelve to twenty-four months of continuous use before losing effectiveness. Every installation includes a two-year bulb warranty, and we can handle replacement when the time comes.
Is it safe for my system and family?
Yes. The UV-C light is fully enclosed inside the ductwork or air handler, with no direct line of sight to living spaces. Installation does not modify airflow and does not void most HVAC manufacturer warranties.
Do you clean air ducts too?
Yes. Air duct cleaning is a separate service across the same DFW area, and a UV light is the natural next step after one.
